“Gotong Royong is Us” is an animation that captures the core values of Gotong Royong, a Javanese concept that embodies the spirit of mutual aid and collective effort. Gotong refers to the act of carrying or lifting together, while Royong highlights the importance of working in unison. Through this narrative, the animation emphasizes the critical role of cooperation and solidarity, particularly in the context of the early COVID-19 pandemic

This project is the first animation and music by Zahra and Zahirah. Although it was our debut in this medium, it was selected as one of the Top 20 National Short Films by BPIP (The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency), evidence of the impact and relevance of our work.
